THE LOVERS BRIDE TO YOU
Amazing, a well thought out selection of beautiful dresses. Charley was friendly, sweet, and super helpful throughout!
Melinda & Nolan. 4 years ago Nolan spotted me out and bought me a beer at a very crowed, and dodgy college bar in San Francisco during our second year of University (both being very tall had it’s perks that night!). We didn’t really hit it off that evening, so it took a long time before we both made an effort to meet up. After hanging out for some time, we eventually realized that we actually kind of liked one another… Nolan being American, and me being Swedish proved to be tricky at times- especially when I after my college years couldn’t stay in the US any longer. I moved ahead to London, hoping he would follow after finishing his last year of school
… And indeed, after nearly a year apart Nolan surprised me by showing up unannounced in London, and during a rainy walk in Hampstead Heath, my slightly nervous man dropped on one knee – the craziest and happiest moment in my life.
The Wedding Date
Saturday May 28th, 2016
The Wedding Location
Norrviken Gardens, located in Båstad - a small coastal town in south of Sweden where my family have a holiday home, and where I spent all my summers since I was a kid. With the apple trees in full bloom, and the ocean at the bottom of the hill, this venue is an absolute dream.
After a day of so much love and laugher with family and friends, the best moment was when me and Nolan got our first real moment alone – in the car back to our hotel. With everyone waiving with sparklers outside the tainted windows, and Scott McKenzie – San Francisco blasting in the car speakers – Nolan turned to me with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen, kissed me and YELLED “Holy sh*t I just got to marry you!”
Any tips for our future brides?
I am a TOTAL control freak, and planned this wedding down to the very very last detail. However- 5 days before the big day, my sister and my parents forced me to drop everything and just enjoy the final days and view them as part of the whole "experience". That did wonders! I felt relaxed, fresh and completely calm waking up on my wedding-day. And even though a few things didn't go as planned- I couldn't have cared less!
